i was like three..my mom would take me to her friend's house after i got out of class(i was in nursery) and that was where i first watched this movie i think..feel like crying..wish i could be a kid again!

Manirathnam chose AR Rahman 4 this film bcoz the musical maestro Ilayaraja was busy with other films...AR Rahman was an assistant of Ilayaraja...the legend was born from this movie...even the lead actor role was opted for Rajiv menon....but he was not interested in acting in movies, then mani chose Arvindswamy...

Mani Ratnam does wonders with the camera. Very good direction and A.R. Rahman adds the icing to the cake as usual.
