Apple didn't invent the mouse, but Henry Ford didn't invent car either. The mouse was a brilliant idea that sat around doing nothing until Jobs picked it up. Hate to tell you but even all the way up to Windows 95 there were still PCs that didn't come with a mouse at all; and Windows had to be designed so everything could be done with only a keyboard. Could you imagine doing half of the things on a computer today without a mouse? (web browsing, games, even copy/paste) Well you can thank Apple.

A little discouraging how widely available TTS engines today aren't that much better than what I'll assume to have been top notch in '84.
