yes but mannoroth lost his control over the orcs the first ritual was never mant to take control of the orcs just to fill them with blind bloodlust

Mannoroth's control over the orcish horde happened before this. The orcs were blinded by bloodlust when they first got into Azeroth through the Dark Portal which was opened by Medivh, bloodlust given to them by the power of the Burning Legion.Thrall managed to gather the lethargic orcs that lost the bloodlust in the first part of Warcraft 3 and drove the remnants of the reunited orcish horde over the ocean, at which point you can follow the story through these videos.

Not necessarily, if Hellscream wouldve listend he would've been with Thrall. And when it came to the moment of drinking the water, it was Hellscream's decision. Not really Thrall, Thrall's a good leadera and person.
