If aliens come they will be characterised as speaking to ALL of us that means when we are spoken to by them it will have direct personal meaning for ALL of us. If the come characterised as speaking for only a portion of the population and it does not make sense to all then you will know it is the government that is targeting specifically conditioned or programmed portions of the populace.
