Thats idiotic, a persons sexual preferences doesn't make him or her more artistic. It doesn't make you a better nor worse person in anyway. I don't mean to be offensive, and sorry if I am, this is just my personal opinion.Apart from that, I agree with you that Queen would have been a different band without a gay frontman, because then Freddy Mercury wouldn't have been in the band.Regarding the video, I think this is a splendid cover of this tune. Love the operaish feeling.

If Brian wrote "The Show Must Go On", then he obviously wrote it for Freddie. My point stands.I don't expect you to understand what I'm saying, but artists' sexual orientation affects their art. Queen would have been a completely different band without a gay frontman.

Jessiethegeek,Satine is singing "The Show Must Go On" not because she is sad that she has to leave Christian but because she now knows that she is dying."The Show Must Go On" is about facing your own imminent death; Freddie Mercury wrote the song when he was dying of AIDS and recorded it when he could barely walk.You "hate that he [Freddie Mercury] was gay", but only gay and bisexual men like Mercury and Bowie could be the great innovators of theatrical, Broadway-style Rock music.

her voice isnt flat.and there are a lot of young people who kno wwho freddie mercury is(14 and loves queen,hate that he was gay,butloved queen)She is sad because she has to leave christian.she issinging in character,which is something i wish i could do.and anyone wouldnt sound their best when compared to luhrman.his voice is magnificent
