Nope, it's not, but that's a common misconception. It acts very similar to Amphetamines, but is not in that same family of drugs. I think the producers were either ignorant themselves or didn't feel it necessary to explain the group of drugs it was in, who knows, her Doctor could have told her it was "similar" to Amphetamines & she misunderstood

Well, I'm not, but I will admit to reading Battlefield Earth when I was 15 and had no idea who L. Ron Hubbard was.He's a good novelist. Too bad people lack the ability to discern between fact/fiction anymore.
