Visit the Port Wine Cellars of course, and you can take a boat trip up the Douro River and see the mountain river banks, where Port Wine is born.Casa da Música, Fundação Serralves and its beautiful surrounding park, and the City Park (Parque da Cidade). Palácio de Cristal, Palácio da Bolsa, all the downtown area, Ribeira (old docks along the river bank) for night-life, etc, etc.Any more suggestions, Porto people?

exactly ;) (but by the way, the city , as any city anywhere, was invaded, just remember what happens in the napolionics invasions in oporto and with ponte das barcas

everyone coming to porto must remember this is a city that was never invaded and gave the name to the country.portugal came from old "portocal".its full of history and the food and drink are excelent.i would sugest everyone to pop in there for a city break and shopping as everything is reasonable cheap.womens are pretty and ppl generous |
