well done on your fault finding and ajustment.p.s. pull boom to tighten belt BUT not like a bow string.nice one

OK, so I think I just repaird it. I unscrewed the four screws that hold the tail boom into the heli.. Pulled it out just a small nit and it tightened up the belt! VOILA! Just fine. Thanks for your time!

...and actually, just to make this a little simpler, the belt seems like it has just a little too much slack. What may have caused this?

I am rotating it clockwise, was checking to see if maybe one of teeth in one of the servos was broken. The belt is not catching on the main gear that pulls it. Sorry for the stupid questions and not knowing the name of all the parts. I'm quite a newbie. Any ideas?
subzzzzzzzero (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
this can be confusing as there is a one way bearing on the main gears. turn the rotor head one way and the tail will move. turn it the other way and it will not.this is correct.

Just to clear up any confusion that may be caused by my last question, The belt is not catching on the teeth of the main gear that rotates it. What id my issue?

Got a Honeybee King 2 this week and ended upi crashing it first time out (of course). Anyway, waiting on replcement rotors and ordered a couple of servos too becuase I'll neeed them sooner or later. Anyway, when I rotate the bldes, the belt doesn't seem like it wants to turn, therefore the tail rotor doesn't turn. What is the problem here? Thanks for the help! |
