Those Benny Hill years were the best for freedom and creation.

There was a documentary about Benny's lost will worth millions, and most of the angels came across as bitter money grabbing gold diggers. Happy to now slag him off, but at the time kept in with him as they thought they were in his will. Horrible people. I think he died sitting on his own watching TV which is what he did in his spare time.

this takes me way back, i forgot just how saucy AND innocent it really was.yes, Benny wasn't exactly PC but his humour was not meant to be in bad taste, just cheeky like a naughty school boy. he poked as much fun, if not more, at himself as anyone else.compared to today's climate when kids can watch mega violence, followed by some pop tartlet shakin her tits and booty at the cam 24/7 ... Benny was positively innocent. :O)

The unfortunate fact is, political correctness has become even more entrenched and enshrined in Britain than when Thames gave Mr. Hill the hook in 1989. Plus "other" factors that may make the de facto blacklist of his reruns from British TV essentially permanent - which is a loss to all.

I wonder if Benny Hill would be too politically incorrect in today's hyper-sensitive Britain with its notorious race-industry. |
