I get so pissed off, because they only send that negroid noise over the radio nowadays. It's fucking politics.

He should call the new band something else.

Well although I agree with you partly, I feel that Axl did the right thing. Instead of letting his talent slip away until his death, He started it again. Although it's not the original GnR, It's a great band anyways, and it's only bad when compared to the original GnR because the original was so great.

There are certain songs that force you to roll down the windows and top out the volume as you drive down the street. Working Man by Rush, Panama by Van Halen, Baba O'Riley by the Who and Locomotive by GnR fit this description. Actually, I could name another 20 or so, but the fact is, when a song forces you to make others listen to it while you come as close to freedom as you can in this commercialized, over-regulated world you must give it its due.

Amen. But don't forget Izzy. Joe Perry needed Brad Whitford, Keith Richards needed Brian Jones/Mick Taylor/Ronnie Wood. Slash has to be in the top 3 of his generation, but Izzy wrote alot of the music on Appetite and the Illusions. Without the combination of Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Matt GnR can never be the creative force it was from '87 to '93 |
