They are mostly oil on canvas, average size about 75cm x 100cm (give or take). Magritte was a workaholic and would often complete a painting in one day. An amazing genius.

Not a big fan of surrealism, but Rene Magritte definitely stands out. Clean lines, light, and color...perfect.

i love surrealism ive just started art in college and love salvador dali and just started looking at rene magrittes paintings this sort of stuff makes me think what is normal could someone explain to me what normal is what is real

I know what surreal is...I'm just saying a lot is repeated. Get a sense of humor, lighten up. If I'm a "dumb" American, you're following the stereotype by being a mean German. Why don't you read everything I wrote before you judge me.
