I like both bands personally, but I think Dark Tranquility are more sophisticated melodically. I dont think this particular video demonstrates that, but some of their earlier stuff is simply brilliantI've a live recording but I dont really know if its a bootleg or not. 'Live at Karen' I think?

dark tranquillity is soo much better than inflames .. terminus is enough that beats any song for inflames.

It's called growling.The death growl is one of the vocal styles that requires a great deal of skill.Not only to simply perform it, but also because it can rip your vocalchords to shreds.Having a good skill in growling is mandatory before attempting it on a more professional scale.Mikael Stanne is a wonderful vocalist, his clean vocals are great, and so are his growls. He's been going for ages, and he only gets better.. same for the whole band. Best melodeath band ever.
